Thanks to all who came out to our set on the Summerfest grounds. Special thanks to Hilarie for this great shot, and all the others. We’ll be back July 28th at Bad Genie. We sure hope to see you again.

Brighton is delighted to be playing the 2011 Summerfest in Milwaukee. Come eat some alligator tail, drink cheap beer (or the good stuff), stop by Saz’s for some killin’ ribs, and lastly, check out our headlining set at 9PM. Going to be super fun.
Where… Cascio Music Stage
http://www.summerfest.com/
When… 9:00PM (same time as Peter Frampton… we’ll have talk boxes, too, promise)
*****How to get there?*****
We suggest forming a few caravans from Chicago to Milwaukee. It’s a 1.5 hr drive, so if everyone squishes into the back of your Volkswagen, it’ll be dealable.
There is also a train that drops you pretty close to the Summerfest grounds. More info on that here… http://www.amtrakhiawatha.com/

See you up there.
We were out in LA this past weekend recording at the Red Bull Studios. It was a great time reconnecting with the production team of Rock The Route, and meeting some new people.
In the two days we spent there, we were able to track two new tunes—one called Touch and the other called Wake The Dead—as well as lay down some overdubs on some other tracks. All of these tracks and more are nearing completion and are slated for release on our next record. Whereas we’re not quite finished, I can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel.
More news on that as it comes in. For now, we have two awards to give out for the weekend…
The BMA Spirit Award splits between engineer Eric “Five-skis” Stenman and cellist Alison Chesley who’s contributions and positive vibes were invaluable.
The BMA/Max Crawford Total-Pro Award goes to Joe Darnaby for remembering his 12-string guitar case, but not his 12-string guitar. —Hope you make it home, bro!
